The Sausage Dog

These guys were awesome. Like midgets, I was not sure if you were allowed to laugh at them, but you should have seen them run. Due to their shape and meatiness they were named Sausage Dogs, but my mate Nick called them Dooters. "Why?", I asked. "Look at them, do da doot, doot doot" he replied. So, doot doot to you Mr Sausage dog, doot doot indeed.

The King George Whiting

I figure that since Noah didn't have fish on his Ark, that this Ark will actually be more complete than his. Kazaa.
The King George Whiting, was named after King George. Popular amongst sea creatures, the King George was known for being very social, often seen swimming with turtles. The King George whiting is grateful for its place as the first fish included at Norri's Ark.. You're welcome King George!

The Mosquito

Like Vampires, they lived off blood. Unlike vampires they were not sexy. Like Robert Pattinson.

The Pelican

Dear Ark, this was the graceful pelican. Humble in demeanor. Big in Beak. The beak was used to carry younglings well into puberty. The pelican was a flight bird and was known to fly over 70 kilometres in one go. Thought to have evolved from greedy seagulls, the Pelican was also the hero of the movie "Storm Boy", you should see it, I think it dies in the end, or it could have been the boy, either way, five stars. Like Ants, the Pelican can carry ten times the weight of a human. They lived near and above coastal areas and as the old sea shanty goes - "if a Pelican can, then anyone can".

The Bison

The Bison. I saw one of these once, I can't remember much, but I remember they had really long hairs on the end of their dicks. There was more hair on the end of their dicks than they had on their pubes. It was like someone had reversed their dicks by snapping them off and shoving them backwards into the hole again. And when it pissed there was piss dew on the end, in the hair, for ages. I think they lived in the mountains.

The Crab

ALthough there were lots of different types of crabs this is just one of them. Crabs were ferocious predators, in or out of the water. They usually had one dominant claw, like man, and used it to pince and grab. It would have made more sense to call them Grabs. It may have been an early spelling mistake. Many names change due to spelling mistakes. My mate Jaya once told me that Pizza Hut was origionally called Pizza Cut. Crabs walk sideways and as the old saying goes, "always attack a crab from behind".

This fancy speciman of a bird is a common wetlands duck. The one pictured is brown but they came in many colours. It was a social bird and could be seen flying in flocks. They were even the inspiration for the "flying V" ice-hockey formation in the movie "mighty ducks" with Emilio Estevez. The movie also had that guy from from Dawson's Creek, but he was hardly recognisable as he was so young, although, he was also pretty young in "Dawson's Creek". Ducks use their webbed feet to detect fish under water. Some scientist's believe they are related to bottle nose dolphins. Not I.

Intro-duck-tion

Our aim here at Norri's ark.. is to create a digital ark for future generations. So that they can know all about Elephants, Cattle, Dogs and Cats, Bears, all different sorts of animals, that we humans(humanus carnivore) all too often take for granted.

We will be bringing you all different sorts of animals and information about them.. As well as the occasional personal account.

We will start you off today.. with the common Duck (Duck Bird).
